The Original Equipment "SSF Forged" wheels for the GT-R are 26.2 lbs front and 26.9 lbs rear.
Semi-solid forging (marketing speak) is more commonly referred to as "semi-solid casting" in engineering circles.
Almost all SSF parts are made from A356 and A357 alloys, not from the stronger heat-treated 6000 and 7000 series alloys.
While this "SSF" technology is superior to most castings, the parts lack the tensile strength of a true forged and heat-treated part.
