I've heard anything between $25k-$40 for brakes...Huge expense to maintain. I have a friend who could buy any car she wanted and sold her SLR because of how stupid the cost was to maintain.

For additional information you may want to contact your local MB dealer service dept and the SLR section on www.mbworld.org.

maint. is not so bad for a 1/2mil car. Very reliable too, not so tempermental or too hardcore race built for everyday use. Its still a heavy car because its designed to be reliable, safe and have some luxury to it. the annual should run 1-3k$ depending on its needs. ya brakes are pricey- 50k for a set of rotors on 1 axle but they are carbon ceramic and should last 50k+ without track use. the pads i list at like 4k$ i think which should last a good 25k miles. Sparkplugs are recommended like every other year which requires dropping the motor to replace. but most people dont bother since they should last 50k easy unless your using it on the track constantly. Dont be scared if you can truely afford a 1/2mil car.
