chicago exhaust help

Okay i am ready for my first mod. I have it down to either a Tubi street or the FVd loud version both 200 cell cat. Everyone recommends that you hear them live befor you buy. Any members out here in Chicagoland willing to meet with me? 2nd tip controversy dealer says no hp loss keeping my stock tips which i dont mind the looks. Rhonda says i will loose 15hp of her stated 25 hp gain if i do not upgrade to the FVD quad set up. You guys no more than anybody please help.

If you want a nice but not obnoxiously aggressive sounding exhaust without drone, then go with the FVD system. As for the tips, do the stock tips actually fit on the FVD pipe?

Similar story with the EP. Definitely no drone there. PM me if you want a near new tubi street.

finally somebody in chicago wants to do a mod, . i am from chicago area and after much going back and forth after a year i went with EP 1. i looked at fvd as well , not impressed with any exhaust manufacturers that have multiple connections, it should be one piece, my opinion, u r welcome to come listen to my sound, but my car is in hybernation now

You're in Chicago, why don't you take a look at Markski's products?

+1 on Markski. Marek and a few others - Switzer, SpeedTech, Protomotive use a cross flow design that gives a turbocharged engine an exhaust tone similar to a NA engine.

I agree, if you want to look beyond the two you originally listed then go straight to Markski. He's da man in the Chicago area.

What's the drone like in X-pipe design? Do they all drone, no-drone, some worse than others?
