Exhaust Fall Out or Road Film

My car is white do it is very easy to see on a white car. The area under the tail where the Turbo S logo is on the back gets very dirty even on short drives. Took the car on a local erand last night 16 miles and when I pulled into the garage the car was very dirty on the back. Almost looked like ash on the turbo S logo.

I took a 1/2 gallon pump up sprayer filled with ONR and distilled water and "pressure washed" the dirts off the car onto the floor. Chunks of dirt like cigarette ash came out of the Turbo S logo and rean onto the floor.

My car has just over 200 miles on the clock, is this the fallout from a new exhaust or is this the road debris collecting here becasue of the the way the down force effects the wind?

It comes off easy buy it is a pain to do this every time I take it out. It is the 3 rd time I have had to do this so far.

Anyone else with a similar experience?

Thanks,

Jeff

Thats the exhaust.....not from the road. Typically easily seen on a white car.

Will this decrease over time as the car gets past the new stage or it is a long term thing?

No. Its there to stay. A friend of mine has the same problem with his white car. Turbos tend to produce more black soot particles....all that fuel to go with the boost etc.

This area of the car is a very low pressure spot. The air is pulled back into the car by vacuum and along with it, all sorts of grit. You may have some exhaust gas adding to this 'grit' especially if the car is running rich but it is more likely just 'external' debris.

I always end up with fine sand and grit in this area and I know that isn't coming out the exhaust.

I've never heard of this before... is it damaging to the paint? Does the soot need to be removed immediately after each drive?
