Looking to add a Europipe and headers to my '08 GT2. EVOMS has recommended their 650-750hp header set, $3100. Fabspeed has their 911TT/GT2 header set for $1,500. Anyone have any personal experience with either of these? They both look well-designed, equal-length, mandrel-bent, etc. Can anyone explain why it would be wise to pay 2X the cost? thx

 

Aftermarket headers is not worth in ( no gain ) plus some of them crack after while. Stock headers works great until 850-870whp range ( with alpha turbo bolt on kit )

Due respect to mannschaft, good headers DO add small amounts of hp & tq in mid to upper range, as they do flow better than stock. However, this is only going to occur in concert with tune & exhaust. As to brand, EVOs are lovely, but (and I think this is critical), not possessed of equal length runners. Look at AWE. like EVO,they are 321 S.S. (better for headers), TIG purge welded, and equal length runners. They (AWE) are also sold with a lifetime guarantee.
Good headers, while not game changers, do absolutely improve your program. BTW, AWE and EVO both weigh ~5lb. less than stock...again, not a huge jolt, but, like Porsche's constant chipping away at the rock, a true improvement.

 

P.S>, Sladep....headers also improve the ever-crucial P/A (performance to appearance) ratio. Also, they will improve the sound a bit.
