Video My new catback, borrowed from NASA. PICS

So to spare the long story, and make it short, I talked to my buddies about @ RacePartSolutions, told them I want some material for my exhaust that I want to make for my TT FRC Vette...they said cool....I said but I want to make it out of aluminum,...they said cool. So, my buddy Mike Delacruz(known as crazyG for his wild racecar TT infinitiG35) got my car delivered to his door step to borrow for a week, and mock up/make/fab my exhaust, based off my drawings.

I also ordered some Carbon Fiber....and did some fandangeling. I am pleased to say,...it came out great,...I have a super lightweight exhaust system, weighing in less then ten pounds, mufflers, V bands and all.

Here's the build for more info on the Vette,....

and here's my exhaust...

ps, the videos of the car running, are all of an F'd up tune,..which is set up for E85, and I was running 93 octane here....also, the tune was based off an old setup,..which is amazing the car was even running. Anywho,..the popping, sounds a little funky....it doesn't sound like that now since it has had a much better flash thrown in it(break in before dyno) and E85.

3" from the turbos back, each side.. All V band, the mufflers,..lol, are 4" round, 5" long, tubes, we made and packed with stainless wool.....and well, I gotta tell you, the car NOW,....is way quieter in the inside, which is what I wanted. I was really sick of the dumps,...as I only did that to be cost effective at the time,...as I didn't have the money to go custom, and I didn't want ANY catback on the market.

All in all,...to me, it's a 15 year old dream come true.

Nope, only the TIPS are carbon.

I ALMOST made the mufflers out of carbon, but other then the cool factor, I had no real reason for going that route. Figured with the turbos, it was gonna be pretty hot right where the mufflers are. That, and the aluminum system is so light,...it couldn't be that much different. The current setup weighs nothing.
