997.1 HID foglight conversion questions:

I've done a forum search, but didn't really feel good about what I found, so I'll start fresh here.
1. Do HIDs trigger warning lights?
2. Are shorter H3s necessary to fit in the projectors?
3. 35W vs. 55W?
4. Must the bumper cover be removed for installation?

Thanks in advance.

1. yes
2. cant be much longer than stock length, you have some room though
3. 55w would scatter like mad, 35w is going to be nuts
4. no, small hands help big time though, jack and secure the front end up and its doable.

HID will last longer, just make sure the ballast is waterproof and you seal up the fog light housing nicely. You dont want things to get wet and potentially cause a fire or electrical harness issues. I never use mine frankly, Im not sure it worth installing either of them in hindsight. Its a pain i the *** to swap them out.
