Discount off the current S-Class cars?

Hi all,

I am considering purchasing a new S-Class and simultaneously ordering the new body style (year 2014) which probably should be delivered in 10-11 months.

With that in mind, I had a couple of questions:

1. How much off MSRP should I expect to pay for the current S550's considering the new version is being released shortly and I know the dealers are being incentivized to sell them quickly?

2. Assuming I simultaneously place a deposit for a 2014 S-Class at the same dealership, how big a hit should I take on trade-in in eleven months when I trade it for the new car that I ordered?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I would just wait for the new body style all together. It doesn't make sense to me to buy a new benz at the end of it's cycle, especially knowing the depreciation that these cars have. I would maybe buy a used S, but definitely would not advise buying a new one now and trading it in for the 2014. I'm not exactly sure how big the hit would be, but unless you're made of money it will hurt IMO. Hope this kinda helps you out. Why not get a used AMG?
