2011 GTI H&R Springs & Spacers, Brembo Brakes and Carbonio Intake

Happy Friday everyone, hope everyone is ready for the weekend! Today we've got a 2011 GTI that we've had in and out of the shop a few times that we just keep adding to little by little.

Parts Installed
Brembo Big Brakes
H&R Springs
H&R Spacers
Carbonio Intake

To start things off the customer wanted to get the GTI down closer to the ground to help boost the handling and add a little extra style at the same time.

New spring and strut assembly ready in go back in

After everything was re-installed the car was moved over to the alignment rack for a full alignment. After everything was back in spec the GTI was off and running again.

A few months after driving on the springs it was time to add a few more toys to this GTI. On the list for this time around was Brembo Big Brakes, Carbonio Intake and 5mm H&R Spacers.

Starting on the Brembo Big Brake kit with new rotors, hardware, calipers, pads and steel braided brake lines.

After the brakes and spacers were installed the car was put on the ground and the Carbonio Intake was added for a little extra kick.

good work. I know from personal experience getting the front struts out are no easy task. I am sure a full shop helps!

Hey guys! We wanted to keep you updated on this ever growing project. This time, the upgrade of choice was a clutch and we chose the APR DXD Stage 2 Clutch Upgrade. Since the customer does like tracking his baby, we went with the Endurance configuration, which was developed with APR Motorsport to support their efforts in Grand-Am road racing. The Endurance configuration focuses on reduced transmission wear and perfect transitions from gear to gear, which no doubt will come in handy out on the track.

And since there is no use of having racing equipment on a car and NOT racing it, he's already signed up for his first event to break that clutch in! We're proud to say its ours as well. THAWOUT, an annual track day that takes place at Carolina Motorsports Park, happens May 11th and this GTI will be there, giving these new parts their true purpose in life.

To keep following this build, make sure to keep an eye on this forum, as well as its gallery on our site. And to join this GTI and its owner and take place in the track day, don't hesitate to message us! For more info on that, here is the forum with all you need to know.
