N8R is infamous around these parts
997 Carbon Fiber Interior

I just had my 2008 TT delivered to Toronto from FL. Extremely well equipped and with lots of attention to detail. It has all carbon fiber interior trim, including dash, doors, shifter/brake, and center console.Upon delivery, I noticed one of the trim pieces on the door has lifted and curled, and the centre console is also lifting and curling around the ashtray. This was not apparent from the pictures, and not sure if it was caused by climate change? From some of the forums I've read, this is not unusual, although disappointing. Can anyone share their experience, especially in Canada, and if they managed to negotiate anything with a dealer or Porsche? I think this is quite disappointing, given how much these options cost, and especially on a car with only 14,000 miles on it........

Yeah it´s a shame for porsche oem parts, but it´s the reality. Low quality parts, coming off carbon, colour change to yellow or green, cracking...all quality loose problems we often have seen on porsche oem carbon parts...
The climate change isn´t the reason, it may has made the peeling off faster, but it would have happened either..
Replace your parts with quality products , see here our 997.1 program:
997 Turbo (2006-2009) - DB Carbon

We buy back your original parts after you´ve changed them, when you like check here - we clean these totally and use them as new base parts for future orders (at the bottom of the page you´ll find also our guarantee promise, not just 2 years warranty - our work will survive your car):
Returning Parts/Service/Guarantee - DB Carbon

With best regards from Germany
