Hey there, I know the rule of thumb is not to mix and match tires. Should be all same on four corners. However, the two tires mentioned seem to have all the same characteristics except the super sports have a longer tread life.

Do you think there is any issues having two pilots sports on the front and two super sports on the rear?

I wouldn't do it. just because they are the same brand and same category doesn't mean they are the same

but if its for street use only its likely ok

 

I was in the same boat, shot rear PS2s and fronts at 50%. The tires are different enough that performance difference is noticeable. But for normal daily drive purposes you should be okay to finish out your fronts. However, in full disclosure I decided not to and replaced all the PS2s with the Super Sports and happy I did.

 

online pricing on new super sports is so good right now, that I would just change all 4 and not look back. especially for an all-wheel-drive car.

you could always list your fronts for sale on this forum to recover some of the cost.

 

MPSS has much better stick then the PS2 so it will throw off your handling.
