I washed my car this evening and the edge of the clear bra had some dirt so I do what I always do and run my nail along the edge, this time it got little gummy ***** under the edge and the more I messed with it the worse it got....so I have to trim off the infected edge...how do I do this without scratching the paint....my car is white and its driving me crazy....please help!

I think you should stop messing with it and take it to a qualify shop that specialize in clear bra.

If you have a #15 scalpel you could gently trim it off, just take it to a shop.

 

i would agree, just take it to a shop, because the more you mess with it the worse it will get... i would never take a knife to my car, you could wind up scratching it worse than the dirt...

As others have pointed out, take it to the original installer or if you purchase the vehicle used, then look around for the top shop. Most clear bra installers are not skilled with using a blade on film and not cutting through to the paint. Only the most experienced can do this. Good luck
