Workshop Service Manual

Have any of you successfully sourced a 997.1TT service manual for a reasonable price? I searched on ebay, but I find it hard to believe that those results are the real Porsche service manual. Any experience? Thanks.

Here's one of the results on ebay.

These are copies of the original Porsche CD. They don't mention it's not OEM because what they do is illegal. 15 dollars for a copied CD that costs almost nothing is a lot of money. Don't buy it. I am surprised the seller's not reported yet...

A service manual for all the 911 variants on a single CD? Different suspensions, different engines, ECU programs, etc. Doubtful it is the "service manual," and rather, maybe a collection of miscellaneous PDFs.

A service manual is just a manual. It's an envelope with pdf files. It does not contain software applications or any kind of IT that you can use in an OBD port if you imagine anything like that.

At least one of the files is good, its a 65mb pdf pretty much describing in detail how to service and remove/mount various components.

I assume this is availiable at torrent sites.

Most shops subscribe to a remote Porsche site that gives them access to the service bulletins and technical files for repairs available here:
