997.2 TT upgrades

Speeders , hello

I would like to ask about 997.2tt upgrades ,
I knew , tune and exhaust will be the 1st in the list !!

Ok what about the ICs upgrade ? As i know the 997.2tt has great coolers , so is it worth to upgrade them ?? If yes , which coolers are good ??
Also what about the headers ?? In 997.1tt , the headers can hold 750whp with no problems , so is it not worth to get upgraded headers for 997.2tt ??

Thanks for your help

I would just stick with the stock inter coolers as they are alot better than the majority of the AM coolers out there, unless you go the aerospace route IMO

Stock headers are fine.

The stock intercoolers are very good, so I would place them lower on the priority list. We typically recommend them after you have upgraded your exhaust and engine software, as the flow level becomes a restriction at that point. For the file we ran on the 9-second Turbo S, we only spec Champion intercoolers due to their combination of great flow and cooling capacity.

The headers won't necessarily become a restriction, but that doesn't mean you won't see gains if you upgrade them. A well designed header will certainly help with spool, and will also typically provide a decent power gain. I would just make sure that the ones you purchase come with a lifetime warranty, as we have had issues with aftermarket headers cracking.

Feel free to PM me if I can help you out at all.

Thanks for your support and help sir

Ok whats the limit of the PDK gearbox ? Will the car handle the power of 65mm turbos upgraded ??? Did you try meth injection on 997.2tt ???

At this point, the main limitations are fueling and the gearbox. From a cost perspective, I would stick to stock turbos until there is a proper fuel system and PDK upgrade. With that being said, we have been able to get another ~50whp with the 68mm turbos with the stock fuel system. This will put you right around 650 wheel horsepower on an AWD dyno, the most I would recommend on stock transmission.

Whether another 50whp is worth the price of upgraded turbos is ultimately your decision. The headroom is certainly there in the future, but the supporting mods just aren't available yet.

We have had good results with meth injection on the 997.2tt. It will greatly help with the cars consistency and overall performance.
