Steam machine detailing?

Seems to be a new and faster way to detail both the inside as well as outside.
I'm a little suspicious. The commercial machines are in the $4-6K range.
Also I'm not so sure it is a good idea on 3M or other paint protective coatings.

Anyone have personal experience with one?

Thanks,
