Sachs 2.5 clutch capability
Sachs 2.5 clutch capability
Had a 996 turbo with this clutch and would like to run it in my 997tt. Has anyone ever made 7-800 hp with this clutch. Or has anyone ran a gt3076 turbo with a Sachs 2.5. I'd like to run gt30's on e85 with this clutch if it can hold it. My car is a hwy roll racer never launched.

Depends how far your pushing it I suppose? Sachs rates the 883082999(764) at 600 ft/lbs with the standard organic disc, or 700 ft/lbs with the "special" organic facing. You can probably exceed that by 10-20% without a whole lot of worry, but if you're going full out on FP/HTA3076 turbos it may not last long.
If you are doing an engine build and really turning it up you will probably want more clutch. The triple carbon setup may be more appropriate. Is it RPS Or Carbonetics? Getting old sucks, I can't remember.
Edit: It's RPS, which I have heard very good things about in the past. Link: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...tall-pics.html

+1. I ran 600awtq in my 996TT and ran/tracked it hard for 2 years. Great option for 800 or so and less at the crank. I agree that you will likely be over the edge and it won't last too long. The ERP is awesome as far as product and support.
