Listed for sale is my 2001 BMW M5 with full Dinan S3 conversion (#5 of only around 30 ever converted). Jet Black on black with approximately 61k miles. Asking $40,500. VIN: WBSDE93471BZ97874. Located in westside/southbay of Los Angeles (near LAX).

The car is in MINT condition. I have all the service records on the car, showing well over $100k in receipts not including the original cost of the car. Like prior owners, I too have always hand-washed and had it regularly professionally detailed. The mechanicals, exterior and interior reflect the care this car has had over its life. Everything that these E39 M5s need over time (dead pixel repair, rearview mirror bubble replacement, VANOS upgrade, etc.) has been done. Since my ownership, I have replaced the guibo, refinished the wheels into a satin bronze, and recently had 60k service done by Marc Norris at Bavarian Workshop (new plugs, fluids, anything it needed). The car now needs absolutely nothing – just to be driven!

For those of you who don’t know what this Dinan S3 is, respected BMW tuner Steve Dinan has taken one of the best sport sedans ever made, the E39 M5, and turned it into the ultimate super sedan with 600+ hp and 500+ ft/lb of torque. Completely drivable and docile when you want it to be, but get on the throttle and words cannot describe the transformation. Will keep up with just about anything – and not just in a straight line. The suspension is remarkably compliant but in the twisties the car feels much, much smaller.

Dinan’s magic included: S3-M5 Supercharger System; S3 Engine Management Software and Electronics; High Flow-Ram Air Intake; High Flow Throttle Bodies and Tuned Velocity Stacks; 4:2:1 Stainless Steel Headers; Free Flow Exhaust; Strut and Shock Tower Braces; Stage 3 Suspension System w/ JRZ Adjustable Shocks; Rear Subframe Reinforcement; Dinan/Brembo Brake Conversion; Dinan Lightweight Forged Wheels: Front 18 x 9'', Rear: 18 x 9.5''; S3-M5 Clutch Package (including Flywheel, Disc/Pressure Plate and Slave Cylinder); 3.45 Limited Slip Differential.

Additional improvements on the car:
• Dice DUO Silverline iPod/iPhone connector
• StealthOne integrated with hardwired V1. (V1 not included)
• Laser Interceptor hardwired with LED alert in dash. Power button replaces cigarette lighter. Parking mode button also installed on driver side dash by feet. (LI sensors and unit not included)
• Prior owner also resprayed hood, front end, quarter panels and mirrors for rock chips and had both sides also repainted as it got keyed. I personally spoke to the body shop before I bought it to confirm the respray was not due to an accident. So paint condition is outstanding.
