Not sure if any of you have noticed, but some crazy happenings going on here with respect to Vivid and Softronic....SO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU READ?? Is Vivid doing something screwy? Is there a hacker among us?

Not sure what the internet Gods or Gremlins or Hackers are doing here, but I noticed lots of stuff appearing and disappearing related to Softronic recently...I saw at one point Softronic posts changing to look like they came from Vivid....

I saw my Post(s) about Softronic disappear completely after being changed to Vivid...then re-appear corrected back to Softronic.....

And if you search for "Vivid Softronic"....You will find lots of items where it appears that someone replaced what used to be "Softronic" with "Vivid" ? .... Like you may see posts where it was about Softronic at one point, and that has been replaced with the word Vivid....Pretty obvious when the topic is about a tune that occurred years ago and then it now says "Vivid" or implies the VRT tune in its place...Who I think has only offered their tune weeks (or months ago)....Lots of gaps in the posts too, where sections are missing or make no sense...

Anyway...some weird stuff....So be careful what you read here, and for any newbies, check with the guys who have been here a while about anything you are considering....

Also noticed it. Feels like someone at IB learnt to use Grep or something.

 

Sounds like vivid is trying to change the past by using it's checkbook with IB.

I would stay away from vivid and contact Scott at softronic directly for all your tuning needs.

Sadly this kind of stuff happens on every major car forum.

 

On more than one occasion in the not-so-distant past, when Vivid's gotten caught in false advertising, false claims, etc., IB has at least threatened them with exile. This time, it seems Vivid has upped their game more than a notch, and thereby made the tracks harder to follow.


For now, I'll give IB points for patience while the dust settles.


For myself, I stopped so much as considering Vivid almost four years ago. There are many ethical, honest, committed people with whom we can do business here. The choice really couldn't be easier.
