Cutch reco on 997.1 with just a flash

Hey Guys,

Good friend of mine has a 997.1 turbo (2008) with a flash 1.0bar and his clutch gave up. He's looking for what he should put in. He will likely add an exhaust but power upgrades will stop there.

Ideally he would like another stock clutch from the dealer, nothing upgraded at all. Will that die quickly with the flash or will it hold for 50-60k miles like normal (or more)?

A flash will kill you clutch, as it's not made to handle the extra torque. Another OEM clutch will be gone in a few months too. Go with the Sachs Stage 2.5.

+1 and skip out on the LWFW and stick with the stock dual mass!

The oem clutch lasted for 40k miles flashed half it's life or so, beaten up on the street pretty well. Not sure why a new one wouldn't work exactly thr same.

Either way the 2.5 seems to be stock feel with extra holding power so if he's gonna spend money may as well get that.

Any preferred vendors for it...?
