Lighter front brake discs and better pads
Hi,
Is there any option for the front 350mm brake discs that are lighter than stock ones? Or is there any point to change them at all? Found those, anyone using them or is it a crap/no point to buy? Is there any advantage over stock?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/GIRO-DI...rksid=p2050601
Also curious about the brake pads, want to buy something better than stock, is there any at all? What about Endless, do they offer something great for the 997 Turbo?
So give me your opinions and what are you using if its smth else than stock

The stock rotors are great on street or track. The only reason to replace them for any application, including regular track days, is wear out. I know people that do 8-10 track days a year using stock rotors. They typically go through two sets of pads before the rotors need replacement, though some get more life from rotors than others.
When you do need new rotors, Giro disc is one of the best options at the price.
Giro's are what i use on my race car ('04 996) and they are phenomenal. as mentioned though unless you're going to see lots of track time i'm not sure. For pads i use PFC 08 and Endless brake fluid
