So I had a 997.1 Turbo and now have a 997.2 Turbo S. On both cars I've been bothered by 2 things but have never been able to find the answer.

1- How do you turn off the seat belt chime? There are times I am pulling up to a valet or event and want to get something out of my pocket but don't want to pull up chiming like my 1993 pager is going off. chime chime chime chime.... So annoying. Is there a hack to turn it off?

2- When I get out of the car I turn the radio OFF but somehow when I get back in later to go somewhere it turns it back on at start up. I HATE that it comes on automatically. How can I set it so that it only comes on if I turn it on??

Any life hacks out there to make mine better?? Ha!

 

I could be wrong, but tapping the off button on the radio simply mutes it. Long push turns it off.

 

You can turn off the Seat Belt chime with PIWIS/PSTII or a Durametric Pro. While I do wear a seatbelt, the chime was annoying, so I coded it out.
