Mercedes C63 AMG w/ Niche Wheels, Wavetrac Diffl, and MBH Tune from GMP Performance
When this Mercedes came to us, its owner had the single goal of a carbon fiber hood. But sometimes, even the simplest, best laid plans can go awry and so we ended up back at the drawing board. At these unfortunate crossroads, we could go one of two ways: wait months for another hood and try again or venture off course and go a brand new direction entirely. With ideas bouncing back and forth between the customer and the specialist, the project kept building by bits and pieces until we had this beauty.
All blacked out like Darth Vader's daily driver when he's away from the Death Star, this C63's one stop journey became a multi-purpose trip for power, style, handling, and stealthiness.
When discussing possible directions for this project, we noticed a lot of ideas all ran along the same theme: being as sneaky as can be with a C63. We knew the only way to go was to do away with the 6.2 V8's restrictions, add a and unlock its deeper performance then black out everything we could to create a rolling storm cloud of Benz brilliance. With a MBH tune to bring more power to the game and a Wavetrac limited slip differential to help put that power evenly to the ground, it was time for black on black on black. Any instance of chrome was covered in satin black and all windows tinted. Even the badges were repainted to camouflage into the side of the C-Class. Wrapping up the outside with a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and Niche Milan wheels, the perfect wheel to add style while not shouting its presence or distracting from the sleekness it carries above them.
All this done in the name of hiding in plain sight. Not a bad turnaround for this Mercedes that just wanted a new hood.
