Just some info for porsche friends..
My mechanic (tkx performance) is a true gear head and master porsche builder he's built motors from 993 turbos .. To trouble shooting problems on nobles when the company themselves had no answers.. He takes care of and has built many division 1 and 2 full on race cars from top to bottom.. So I really take his words serious when he tells me to always change oil before the winter.. I always thought that changing your oil in the spring was best because you start off your driving season with new oil... But I was wrong biggest mistake someone can do is leave (if you don't drive your car much in winter months) all that dirty sludge oil over the winter season were acid water and sludge build up can ruin seals and really just cause havoc in your motor.. So guys and gals if you'd like some good advice change your oil before the winter season snow is here and keep fresh oil and additives in your motor... Just mine and his 2 cents of coarse..
YES, if you are only doing it annually, it is best if you do it before winter so that the good stuff is in it throughout. However, if you still drive the car during the winter once a week or so, then you are good regardless.
