is there some trick to replacing the foglight bulb?

Cuz I'm just getting pissed off at this point... I'm a big dude with huge hands, and that's not helping at all. I've tried a pair of long needle nose, but nothing is helping me get that damn keyed holder into place so I can twist lock it. Quite possibly the dumbest design I've seen - seriously considering either just leaving them disconnected and off or pulling the bumper to do it!

I Feel like surely it can't be THAT hard so I must be missing something?

okay well for other looking at why this sucks so bad, here are some tips

1. The bulbs are at a slight angle
2. the lips on the keys and keyways are all different heights/depths so it will only lock into place one way
3. There are 3 little nipples that match the bulb holder cut outs - Once I realized this it went in on the first try as the bulb could only go in one way

Now I have to figure out how I ended up with the wrong bulbs... FML

Thanks for sharing, been curious about this too. What bulb replacement did you go with and how does it compare to the main headlights with respect to color, etc.

Its a bit of a PITA but keep fiddling, you will get it. Take a break and come back to it or ask a friend / fresh set of hands to give it a go. Like many things on this car, you have to wonder why Porsche engineers designed things the way they do. It makes little to no sense for those that have wrenched on domestics or Japanese cars previously.

FYI, I purchased fog bulbs from maxspeed and they match reasonably well with the OEM headlights.

I did the sylvania ZX, I haven't installed them yet because by the time I realized I had gotten the wrong bulb oreilly's was closed - I'll install them today and see how they look, I'm a fan of standard normal halogen bulbs although in this case using some LED options may work as well and be brighter (since it's a reflective housing with a projector)

Once I figured it out, I took the bulb holder in and out a few times to make sure I knew what was happening, it's really an idiotic design, I was --> <-- that close to taking off the bumper cover.
