Spoiler Removal

Guys:

I am trying to remove my turbo spoiler for a swap and have read a bunch of info on what needs to be done but am kind of stuck. I have raised the rear wing, have been able to spin the cylinder with the proper tool, but when the holes on both cylinders are lined up it is really tight. Should I crank REALLY hard clockwise or does it generally not take that much effort?

When I rotate just the outer cylinder it appears to just spin without tightening or loosening anything. What I have read says that both cylinder holes should be lined up to loosen but it doesn't want to budge on either side and I don't want to break anything.

Any ideas?

TypeRX, Where you able to twist that cylinder?

But you're correct, align the holes and turn clockwise while standing behind the car and facing down on the wing

Got it - your instructions were spot on. I just needed to turn with more torque than I was expecting - they were on very tight.

Thanks!
