Front lower ball joint replacement boot

Looking for advice. I think I might've asked about which brand to replace with before, but this question is slightly different. I need to replace my inner and outer front axle boots on both sides. I gave this a go a few weeks ago, and in the process tore one of my front ball joints to hell. Now the boot needs to be replaced, so I didn't bother finishing the job.
I know the ball joint itself can't be replaced, and new control arms are $450 each per side (two would be needed). I can get Meyle replacements for around $140 per side. Much better, but both are a little hard to swallow when all that is really bad is a $5 rubber boot. What are my options for replacing the boot? Is there a generic one that you might know about that will fit? I'd rather spend the $20 or whatever it costs for a couple boots and some grease than drop $300-$900 on some new control arms just for a tear in a piece of rubber.
Any input is appreciated.

I noticed a tear in the driver side boot which had slung out the grease.......got both sides replaced under warranty last year at the dealer so brand wise it's factory.....sorry not much help on your question but it is apparently a failure point and having a four post lift let me see underneath her without which I wouldn't have ever seen it....33k miles FYI.

If not a bad tear, put some RTV silicone sealant on it.
