I'm just wondering since I'm thinking of getting either the 911S or 911 Turbo and have perviously never kept a car longer then 3 years.

Also I was wondering when do you think you will see used 997 Turbos on the market in the U.S? Since i will be keeping my 987 boxster till january 2007 in which time i could wait but not too long i hope.

 

Im thinking quite a few 997TT owners will try to flip it right away after getting it. Some might drive them for a few months. The owners that plan to keep their cars will probably get into it in the 2nd year of the production run. The F430 showed up as 2nd hand cars almost right away. Granted, the "flip it" incentive is a bit higher for f- cars but I would imagine that the turbo will command a premium too......at least initially.

I've never kept a sports car more than 2 years until my current 996 Turbo. It was built 5 years ago this week, I bought it new. I won't sell it for the 997 Turbo...

I agree with Roy, I've never kept any car more than 2 years until my TT X50. I will never sell it - I might buy others, but would never give this one up.
