Are Hawk DTC60 pads ok for street driving?

I have some street/race type pads on my car now only I don't know what brand or type. A shop put them on and I think they are near the point where they need to be replaced.

I track about 3 times per year and want better performance than stock. Stock had some fade on the track after about 15 minutes of hard driving.

The pads I use now are somewhat noisy so that doesnt bother me too much. Not terribly noisy though, and mostly when they are cold. I see that the optimum temp range for the DTC 60 is between 700-1100 though and Im worried breaking on the street may be weak. Anyone have experieince with this?

Should I jsut settle for their HPS pads? I am also wondering if they will chew through my stock rotors. All I want to upgrade for now is the pads.

I drive a 2007 911 Turbo, Cobb tuner only as far as speed upgrades.

Maybe someone has a recommendation other than Hawks, or another Hawk model?

I use HAWK HPS on the street, which is better than stock but I haven't tested them on the track yet

Ok. I am leaning toward just using those if they are a bit better than stock. I don't race real hard, just do DE events. I did notice stocks fading some toward the end of each run. Im also thinking maybe I might upgrade the rotors next time they need to be replaced. Just flashed my ECU today. Should be fun to test that out soon!

Are you running high temp brake fluid? I found that swapping to high temp solved the brake fade issues.
As for race pads, they can be risky on the street, I'm lead to believe this is because they work off heat and not friction like a normal street pad.. So the impact can be seen after driving on the freeway for some distance with all that cold air cooling the brakes, then you take the exit ramp to a stop with no heat in your pads and therefore no brakes...not good.
In the old days at races like the 24 Le mans on the mulsane straight, drivers would have to feather the brakes on the straight to keep temperature, otherwise the brakes would fail at the end of the 6 mile straight.
