What a cool story! Just before Thanksgiving, I saw an M1 on the freeway outside of Seattle, and I about lost my mind! Awesome to hear that this one was saved!
I actually got to drive one of these a long time ago... Not very far, but it was a crazy experience. At that point, I'd never driven anything where the pedals were that close together. It's a proper race car set up!
