997.2 TT w/ PCCB - Conversion to Steel Rotors

Hey guys,

I've searched here and Rennlist for a good week, going over any article I could find with any mention of this conversion, but can't find an answer to my specific question for this specific car.

A quick search will confirm that there are clearly options for swapping the front AND rear PCCB rotors to steel options with the most popular and best priced option being Girodisc.

That said, after spending an ungodly amount on this TT last month (2011 6spd TT with under 11,000 miles), I'd like to save a few bucks where I can for now, as Im really only doing this conversion to steel brakes for a track event I want to do in September (and the 2 or 3 track days a year in the future). I also just bought tires so those were some additional added costs that are pushing me to try the cheaper rotor option.

So my plan is to go with the 2 pc Girodisc front rotors, and then I want to look at possible options for the rear.
As the Girodisc 350mm rears are $1200 retail, i'd love to be able to go with something a bit more economical for the rears. Is it possible to go with the stock 350mm TT rotors for a non PCCB 997.2 turbo? I would assume it would be these brake rotors:

https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...735240602.html

At $800 cheaper than the Girodisc rotors, that will almost cover the additional brake pads (PFC 08 or Pagid RS29) I also need to change out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to get on this ASAP so there is plenty of time to have the car prepped for a Sept 21st track day.

For the record, I'm pretty easy on my equipment at the track. I don't typically push beyond 7 or 8/10 and i do not late/hard brake into my turns...I'm just out there having a blast So these rotors should also last me a long time considering i'll only be putting about 3000-3500 miles on the car a year (storing for 6 months of the year up here in Canada).

Thanks in advance!
A dream come true after being a member on 6speed for over 13 years to finally get into my very first P car
