Painted black plastic trim white

Just got it done, I'm really happy with how it looks now. Local body shop did it for $1200.

Looks good! Was there any sanding to get the texture of the plastic trim out?

Yes exactly, it's not perfect but close enough to the texture of the rest of the body. Here is an updated picture with the coilovers and wheels installed.

looks fantastic!! Can you give us a summary of how you did this? what level of sanding / priming / painting / finishing? Would love to replicate this.

Thanks in advance,

Looks great. I recently had my preferred body shop do the same thing to the black plastic wheel arches on my base 2017. He apparently had to remove, sand down the rough texture, add some filler and hand smoothen the parts before painting them in Meteor Grey to match my car. It’s matches quite well and cost me $500 for the four wheel arches.

He said doing the rest of the black plastic on the rear spoiler lip and bottom of my car would be another $1,500. I don’t mind the black/grey contrast so probably won’t get this done...yet.
