because it was laying around for like 7 years without being worn once? and just came back from regular maintnececese to make sure theres enough lube etc..

These watches need service every 5-7 years just like a car needs it's oil changed. Service on a Daytona is very expensive so after 7 years it was due. Now it is ready to go like it was just made for another 5-7 years. This is the collectible 16520 which was discontinued in 1999 and is coming very difficult to obtain, especially in this condition. Had another one recently that was just serviced and it sold on eBay for the same price PLUS shipping and this one is cleaner and includes free delivery.
