Need help: Euro Spec 280 SL convertible!! can't find parts

OK, so, my friends brother has a 1984 280 SL convertible, euro spec. He had it shipped over here, I believe. He brought it to our shop to have brakes and rotors done. We ordered slotted rotors for the car, and brake pads, however, the front rotors are a different size than the ones we received (the rear rotors were the right size). Apparantly, the euro spec cars had different size rotors than the US spec ones??

Does ANYONE know where I could find the right rotors for this car? It's been here for a while, and we just can not find anyone who knows. Not even the Mercedes dealership could help.

If anyone could help, we'd appreciate it very much.

Thanks,
Emilie

Thanks for the reply. We ordered a set, the guy assured us they were definitely the right part. They should be here Tuesday.

Hope the new rotors work out for you; if not, try contacting the newly-opened M-B Classic Center in Irvine: http://www.mbusa.com/heritage/classi...-california.do

They claim to specialize in classic M-B parts & accessories.

Yeah, I was thinking of the same place in Irvine. I read somewhere that they restored and sold cars as well as sell parts for classics MBs. 280SL restored for around 70K. They should have what you need if not leads on where to get them. Good luck!
