Supercharger or Turbo?
#46
However, it won't be necessary to install it immediately, we don't believe. Undoubtedly it will be a good upgrade. But hypothetically if you had lots of wear left on your stock clutch I would say continue to use it and get all the life you can out of it. Who knows, you might get 10K miles.
One of the benefits of the orientation of the turbo kit manifolds will be that it is no longer necessary to remove the LHS exhaust manifold to change the clutch. You will have to remove the downpipe on that side, but the only additional process to do that will be to undo a single Vband clamp.
So that will save at least 2 or 3 hours on a clutch install

Flywheel is a little lighter, yes. No chatter reported - remember this is the same clutch as the V12V, DBS, DB9, V12VS so it's pretty chatter free.

Headers, Turbos, Downpipes, Wastegates, BOV, Filters, plumbing and Intercooler plus a couple of brackets and bits and pieces to move a line or two. Decat pipes. Option to add Sport cats.
Our Target price is $12,000. May creep up to $12,500 or $13,000 depending on a couple of variables. But I think we're around 90% certainty, have done all the big numbers.
Install is probably 16-18 hours. So I think sub $15,000 installed is a fair expectation. A $40K low miles 2007 Coupe + $15K 600HP Turbo package is a pretty appealing car versus what else $55K would buy you!

Or... meth or FMIC?? (Is there room?)

Very interesting, I'm very likely to order a set. Do you have a partner shop in California?
I would say we are 4-6 weeks from completing installation on this car. We will be logging IRO 2,000 miles of road testing before sign-off and release.
Once we go into production it's going to take some time to produce kits - at the price point we are aiming for it isn't economical or profitable to make the headers, downpipes etc. 1 or 2 at a time so we have to run off 10-15 at least, which takes some time also.
So realistically, I'd say we are 6 weeks to install completion, 4 weeks to sign-off and another 6 weeks until we'd be ready to ship. So we are probably 4 months away, realistically from delivering orders.

We're working with 7psi of boost. Primary concern is not the headline HP number so much as torque. A 4.3L makes peak torque of 302ft/lbs at 5500RPM. This setup should make 302 ft/lbs at 2000-2500, and well over 400 from low 3000's onwards. So in other words, V12 Vantage torque levels.
For 99% of the driving we do that's going to be a more significant number than the HP, although we should be getting on for 600, or thereabouts.

There are a couple of significant ways to remove heat from the engine bay, but in addition the entire exhaust side and turbine housing will be supplied ceramic coated as standard.

Admittedly it has been a little slower than I had hoped, we've been so busy with regular production that we had to take some time off the build. And then expanding into a larger unit as well. The other side is about 75% done, all the intercooler parts & plumbing are here.

Very nice to see that there's room for the FMIC.
How is the availability of space to fit the turbos?
As for heat, does the later model V12V hood with vents provide any added cooling functionality?
