Jack pads for Vantage, DB9

Welcome to my first (sanctioned) for sale thread.

These started off as a weekend project for myself, but I posted my results, and there was a lot of interest. To meet the site rules, I was able to become an emerging sponsor, and provide these pads to the AM community.

I have available jack pads for Vantage, Vantage S or Roadster (they have a very different under tray configuration than the coupe) and DB9.

The finish is anodized, currently offering red, and blue. Other custom colors are available, please let me know if you'd like something else.

Price is 200$ including shipping (within the US - international, please contact me for pricing).

Please see the link to the online store in my signature, or send me a PM to purchase.

Thanks,

Matt

How tall are they for the V8 Vantage, from the bottom of the pad to the flat part that rests on the chassis with the pin inserted into the locating hole on the car?

hsm precision 04-24-2017 02:17 PM

Hi,

The distance is 1". Here are some of the dimensions. All the variants use the same height. I'd originally done a 0.6inch standoff, but some forum members took measurements, and this would foul the later style sills, so increased to 1 inch.

Thanks,

Matt

Cool. Do you have stock or make them as they are ordered?

Jeff_335i 04-24-2017 02:34 PM

Can you take PayPal? I have some money in there I'm trying to get rid of and it's easier for me to buy something than it is to have them send me the money.

Paypal is always fine.

Thanks,

matt

Let me know when you have the jack pads for a 2008 V 8 Vantage coupe in stock and I can place an order.

I have a 2013. The rear jack point seems to be like the S, but I can't tell for the front. The front S jack pad has a little ledge with a drop that I don't see under my car. What is that for? Anybody use these on a 2012+ car?

Also, what is the diameter of the pad? That would be good to put in the specs. Would also be good to re-arrange the pads in the pics so that the left side pads are on the left and maybe even label them.

Edit: Here are pics of the leftside rear and front jack points. The front may be more similar to a non-S pad.

Hi David,

Thanks for the comments - some more in depth documentation is on my list of needs. I'll be working on this this weekend.

-The base of the pad is 3.25" in diameter. I made this to fit on a harbor freight low profile jack.

Looking at you picture, the front pad looks like the S or roadster, but does not have the same undertray that comes right up to the jack point (see attached image - its the opposite side of the car from your image, but shows the bolt where your image has the threaded hole.)

Received my pads a few days ago. Used them today to raise the car on my lift to change the oil. They are a perfect fit and rock solid. Much better than using hockey pucks like I have in the past. And the workmanship is beautiful!

Been working with Matt on a set of pads for my 2013 Vantage. The S ones fit on the rear, but had to make some mods for the front ones. We finally got it worked out and the fronts now fit as well. The pads only sit on the metal of the car chassis and are cut out around the body panels and undertray. I like that better than having something that also presses on the body pieces. The little o-ring that holds the pad in place on the car so that it doesn't fall off is really nice as well. If you're looking for a set of jack pads then these work great. Take a look at where the pads will sit under the car before ordering just to be sure they will sit correctly. Aston seems to like to change things around ever so slightly for different years.

Thank you for the kind words. It's amazing how many variations there are of pads - I'm up to 4 for the Vantage alone (original sill design/N400, Roadster/S, newer coupe, and a low profile version of the original sill), as well as a different design for the DB9. I appreciate your patience in getting the design right.

Just got my pads up here in Calgary area and used them to swap the brakes and tires over. Loved them. So much easier than messing around with pucks and stuff. Just made it hassle and worry free.
