Tuning for Aston Martin cars: Exhaust??

Hey all,
I am not very familiar with aftermarket stuff available for AMs...
A friend here just got a DB9 and wants to make it a bit louder ;)
Any ideas??

Did he already pick the car up? THat car sounds quite serious to begin with. If he waits, maybe AM will come out with a sport exhaust, as they did with the DB7

Not yet - it is actually my dad LOL
Cancelled his Continental GT and ordered a DB9 Volante instead...Delivery is not til April/May 2005 though...
I will ask the dealer about the sport exhaust

Zerbst 09-29-2004 03:51 AM

well I'm not sure if/ or when there will be one, but DB7 had one, and it's pretty good. But I've heard a DB9 several times, and lets just say "Vanquish?"

msindi 09-29-2004 04:50 AM

I know - better yet Vanquish S
However, the guy wants a convertible so...(I know about the one-off vanquish volante but that dont count ;) )

Zerbst 09-29-2004 05:14 AM

THe Vanquish is a Zagato project and will not be marketed by Aston martin at all!!! So I'm not sure how Zagato is going about the build of that car

NCE in california did the Vanquish Cab, Last I checked its a 30k project.

Looks good...however, I would never do an aftermarket spider conversion...
Also, the GT will be available in cabriolet form soon
Maybe I'd do an H2 SUT :D

i don't know about that Escalade...

The CGT will be offered in a convertible, I think in 2 years, after the 4 door

msindi 09-29-2004 09:21 PM

I thought the CGT convertible was due sooner than that? before the 4-door anyway??

Zerbst 09-29-2004 10:03 PM

nope the sedan will be here Sept. of '05 and the convertible Sept. of '06

Ohnishi Heat Magic makes one for Vanquish - titanium exhaust, though while i usually like titanium tips, i think it looks rather unclassy on an Aston Martin. how about just removing the resonators, that would sound incredible, even though it's not a real exhaust system upgrade but i bet the sound would be fantastic

I went to this site that was posted and i could not find royal excellence??

I can't believe you would want to change the exhaust from the beginning!! The Vanquish is the best sounding car on the road! And plus with Vanquish S out now, that thing is going to sound like hell!!!
