Sorry if this has been covered before, but i didn't see it... i have an 06 V8V with original '06 NAV discs. What is the latest version of the US navigation maps? Where do i get them (dealer?)

Thanks,

Bet you anything that the dealer will charge you at least $800 for a replacement/new edition.

Rumor is the Nav system is also used by Volvo (and of course all owned by Ford back then) - sorry, I have no more details. It is CD based, maybe made by Alpine? I have found AM dealers to be pretty helpful with upgrade ideas I would suggest trying there first.

I looked on Navteq.com. They do not have your car listed. They have a spot to contact them.

Why can't we help out each other and copy the most current CD? I have the 07 V8V and I will try and make a copy for you. I will also try it out first, make sure it works before I send it out.

Mike,

There are a couple of Aston Martin Navteq DVDs on Ebay selling for about $150/region. Not sure what vehicle are they for as the auction does not mention it.

The discs from my 2006 V8 are marked (c) 2005 4G43-10E898-BC and DX-VP1U3-AML

it also says the standard stuff about no unauthorized copying, reproduction, etc.

Dealer near me quoted NAV CD's at $850 for all three. I found them on Ebay for 40 bucks each, so I bought East and Central.

I honestly can't tell you for sure - the CD's are in my car (an '07 V8). I think AM switched from a 2 disc to a 3 disc system fairly recently so if that's correct they can't be more than a year or two old. Regardless, they work pretty well for my region.
