DB9 Dash Repair?

Just brought home a 2005 DB9. Incredible car with 14k miles. The car had a clean bill of health from the AM dealer, but does need the dash repaired. Seems that it just split? The dealer will fix for $2500. Has anyone here had a similar problem with theirs? Any other options rather than going to the dealer?

$2,500 seems very steep to get a dash piece rewrapped.

Everything at the dealer is expensive I wonder if it could be wrapped with something else (Suede/Alcantara) or would that not hold up?

your dealer is really really expensive. have them refer you to their upholstery/leather guy and he can probably repair it. shouldn't cost more than a few hundred bucks.
