Trust me, your car will be in the shop enough times to get the tail lights put on... I'm due for a recall now, waiting for my spacers to arrive so it doesn't stay there as long. My record at the shop so far is three weeks.

Three weeks?! Is this common with the AMV8V?

From what I've read, I thought the vantage was supposed to be a model of reliability? Jeremy Clarkson even said his wife has had the roadster for years and hasn't had any problems with hers (I'm just mentioning that because he's pretty critical).

What was the issue that kept you in the shop for three weeks, if you don't mind me asking?

The majority of the time my car has been in the shop has been the fault of the service department, not the car itself.

The "model of reliability"? No. But its not bad either. Now if I could find a service department that operates as well as my local Chevy dealer, I'd be overjoyed.

Interesting. My car has never been in the shop for more than 2 days including the front engine seal gasket leak. My car has been very reliable. More so than the Porsche I had previously.

i test drove one from eurocar and one from aston newport. they both were nice folks to deal with. and although eurocar recommended going to newport aston for service, they did also recommend a specialty shop that could do it for 70% the cost called raging bull performance i believe. my search will be on for a while here but im interested in an 07-08 similar to the OP's car. a nice simple color combo like that as well. looks so nice
