Just installed Ipod Adapter
Just installed the Ipod adapter. Put it in the cup holder and faced it backwards. Same place as the V12. Can't even see it, perfect place.
Does not work with my Iphone 4. Which sucks. Although it does charge the phone. Going to get an Ipod today. The USB works, however, for some reason it will only play up to 78 songs. This is the same limit on the USB I have in my truck with an aftermarket JVC unit. The instructions say that the steering wheel control will work the volume and select tracks. That is not working for me. Does the steering wheel controls work the radio in anyone's car with or without the Ipod adapter? |
Did you install the AM factory retrofit kit? I watched my dealer install one and I was amazed at the functionality. They tested it with a Nano and it worked great. I didn't test the steering wheel controls so sorry can't help you there.
Attached is the kit I saw. |
I'm also curious if it's the AM kit. I don't have an iPhone, but was planning to soon and would be a bummer if I doesn't work with it.

Update. The Iphone 4 works. Not sure why it was not at first. I get the song list and folders. Works great. I guess the steering wheel controls only work late 2008 model.

That's good to hear, I'm still struggling to find time to take my car to get it installed. The iPhone4 issue freaked me out for a bit.
