So I am at the shop. First they will sand off the surface and laser mark everything including the logo. I saw the logo they have. Legit. They got the fonts right too.

Now, the setup fee is $40. The owner is out so have to wait for his final otd price ($140?).

But if we can send in more plates to modify, we can split the setup fee. Eta is 3 to 5 days.

Setup fee??

I was charged 140 for both sills out the door, the plates definitely look OEM and you can't tell the difference at all.

 

I met a Scott there. No Alan though.

I think your $140 already included the setup fee (machine alignment etc).

He did show me a very blurry printout of some small pics. And the outline which is spot on.

 

Sound good. I want mine to read.. Hand built in england for Batman.

Update. Never heard back from QCI Laser Marking.

Going with Tony Hall's plates (of pistonhead.com). For the same price actually.

 

Ouch, sorry they didn't get back to you, their loss I guess.

 

Just had mine done at our local trophy shop. They even made the metal plates from scratch so I could keep the originals. They did an outstanding job. I can provide their info if anyone needs it.

 

Hopefully the trophy shop used stainless steel. I have seen many an old trophy with rusted engraved plaques.
