Rear Wheel Camber
 

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust rear wheel camber on the V8V? I don't track my car, so I don't really care about razor sharp performance. I just don't like the negative camber look (wheels tilting inward). You see this all the time on BMW's. I also think taking out some of this negative camber may help with premature inner tire wear and also help fill out the rear wheel wells better simultaneously. :o

Well, I went to my alignment guy today and we took out some of the negative camber. The factory setting is fairly high at negative 1.75 degrees. We were able to lower that and now the wheels look more upright in the wheel well instead of titling inward at the top. The added bonus is now the tire fills out the fender a bit better. As expected, the car also tracks much better now and is far less twitchy and darty. Especially, when driving on bumpy roads. As you know my car is street only so I was looking for a more civilized ride and I definitely achieved that. :D

How were you able to pull out negative camber? I may do this as well since normally I like to run -0.5 to get much better straight line traction and better tire wear.

007, we tweaked the negative camber down as much as we could and then addressed toe and caster as well. A good alignment guy should be able to do this for you as well. We did have to remove the lower front pan to access some adjustment bolts for the front. I did the same thing on my Z06 and really liked what it did for the car. It still handles and corners very well due to the rigidity of the frame and low profile tires. But now, it's more street friendly and tracks beautifully.
