- Eurocharged Custom "007" Tune for Vantage V8 -
#47
Ok guys, the official date is set! Next Thursday my aston is going in under the knife... EC said they are going to go through every possible improvement to see just how much more they can make over the V1 tune. Estimates are 10+hp/TQ peak gains over the V1 with significantly more in the mid range.
The ultimate goal is to make any 4.3L better than the 4.7l without any hardware changes. The V1 already matched the 4.7L in HP, but the torque gains on the bottom end was minimal. Hopefully we can unlock the rest of the power
Exciting updates to come! ...

Dear "007 Vantage",
Would you mind sharing with us your long term evaluation of the V1 tune setup? Miles you put on, performance you "felt" v. the stock, any drivability change or quirks v. stock, harder to drive?, difference in upshift jerk?, etc.,?
Thanks,
Wish I was closer to Eurocharged in TX

Sure,
The tune never had any hick ups, it felt every bit as strong as the 40crank HP indicated by the dyno suggested (almost 32 hp at wheels). It was only a mild tune, and yet it blew any other tune out of the water. The car was actually easier to drive, no jerkiness or awkwardness of any kind. Below 2500rpm is was basically stock so drive ability was unaffected.
The REAL tune is coming next week, there is still a ton of untapped potential in the stock tune. I will also be doing a stage 2 tune (high flow cats), and a stage 3 tune (headers). I will not touch the stock catback and mid pipes as they are perfect and do not need touching (just polishing as my most recently polish mod thread proved).
The good news is Eurocharged now has their remote ECU flasher, and they will even rent it out for free to you (there is a waiting list but you can do it no problem). So if you are not located in Houston have no fear, you can still get my identical V2 tune anywhere in the world
Given how they already have the most powerful tune on the market, I am really curious just how much more room there is to squeeze out. They recently said they found a few key areas that nobody else has found that could potentially make a significant boost in midrange. They showed me one dyno and my jaw dropped haha... Needless to say I am excited to see what this little bad girl can do once she is finally opened up to her true potential.
Soon, everyone around the country can get the final comprehensive V2 tune... I'm excited to see just how much has been left on the table (thereby finally proving my theory that Aston Martin intentionally sandbagged the 4.3L from day one)
More the come

Hey Christian,
If a local Houston, Tx DB9 owner were to drop by the shop one day I am sure they would be able to develop a DB9 tune in no time. Until it hasn't been done locally though on the dyno you won't be able to do it long distance remotely.
Hopefully there is at least one Houston based DB9 owner on this forum.
Gains on the DB9 motor should be extremely strong, possibly even more so than the V8 as it is also heavily detune.

1)Base fuel table see attached stock vs aggressive
2)Borderline Knock table see attached stock vs aggressive
3)Optimal VVT table see attached stock vs aggressive
4)Deceleration spark, if you like that racy sound on overrun see attached aggressive
I have had quite some experience playing with the tune and have decoded almost everything - idle, dashpot, ETC, emission tests/limits, limiters, adaption algorithms and flag .. closed and open loop, injector change, MAF calibration, fuel pump voltage table tuning etc etc
What I show above is not the whole story, there are some other sneaky calibration limits you need to change, but your tuners can do that.
As always, it is only my experience, take it for what it is worth.
Good Luck
