Study shows We're a bunch of commitment phobe pea****s! ;)
“Pea****s, Porsches and Thorstein Veblen: Conspicuous Consumption as a Sexual Signaling System,” |
“This research suggests that conspicuous products, such as Porsches, can serve the same function for some men that large and brilliant feathers serve for pea****s,” |
Interesting. I don't drive an Aston to show off. In fact, I chose the V12 over a used F430 to avoid being too flashy. To me, Aston is understated beauty and class.

I chose the AM because of a childhood lust, it's price point and quite frankly because I can have a manual tranny in the AM but not in the Ferrari. I like having 'the man pedal.' |
This article is so true, LOL!

I think the person who wrote the article has a case of rectal cranial inversion. I bought a Porsche because its more fun to drive on twisty country roads than my Prius commute car. Besides, around here (San Francisco) Porsches are about as common as Honda Civics.

That's great. We can use another V12 on the forum. |
I've been married 32 years so this article is not too relevant to my everyday living. I think the flashiness of exotic sports cars is one of the least desirable things about owning one. I have a subtle color, so unless you are a car person, it doesn't attract too much attention. I always love to chat to anyone who shows interest but I don't go looking for it, at all.
