Got the car dyno'd 2007 V8V

I had my car dyno'd yesterday at Fame automotive in Redmond WA. It was in conjunction with Turn 10 to have the noise (musice) from the exhaust recorded for a future release of Forza for the Xbox 360.

I currently have the following modifications from RSC.

ECU reprogram
200 cell cats
air filters

The dyno showed 330hp at the wheels which probalby comes out to 405-410hp at the crank. I wish I would have had dyno'd the car last year before the RSC stuff to compare, but I am satisfied with the results.

I dynoed my old 4.3 with the exact same mods and I think it was right there around 330 rwhp too.

Nice to get a confirmation on that number. Thanks

Cool. Nice numbers! Did you do all the mods at the same time? Curious if anyone has input on doing the ECU upgrade independently.

I had all the mods done at once, would be curious to find out what the gains are from each component.

CJ-Please dyno the car beforehand and after the 200 cell cats are added.

I have asked repeatedly of certain manufactures to show their dyno gains with the 200 cell cats and keep getting the run around.

My old service mgr at AM did a before/after dyno showing zero gains on the same car. I am skeptical on spending that kind of money with zero proven results.

I, like you have the AM power pack, quicksilver exhaust and filters.

Thanks!

so with the AM power pack, quicksilver exhaust and filters - one would probably be pushing 400 to 410hp at the crank?

I have a stock 2010 Vantage I've actually gotten dyno'd twice (dyno days) on two different dyno's. I don't have the other dyno sheet on hand but a DynoJet gave results of 379.13 HP and 313.56 Torque. I will soon have filters, SS remap, cats, and exhaust - which I plan to get dyno'd again to see the improvements. Hopefully I'll have this info. up in about a month.

KBA-Are you going to dyno each stage, or after all three?

NO one has done before/after of just the 200 cell CATs....not even the people who make them

CJPatel Sep 30, 2011 08:34 PM

^^ I wonder why???

Regardless I would like some more noise. I love the Quick Silver Super Sport, but a bit louder would be nice.

You got 379 at the wheels on a stock 4.7? That's really good...I have heard of others getting around 340-350, which is what you'd expect given the listed hp. If you are making 379 at the wheels that is more like 480 hp at the crank, not 420.

I wonder if AM boosted the hp more than they have advertised or if your dyno was very generous.

I'm just doing it after all three. I simply don't have the time to do it for each individual part.

Maybe just low drive train loss? I honestly have no clue, I wish I could find that other dyno sheet to compare them. The place I am getting it dyno'd after the parts are installed should have it on file, so I should be able to get it then - about 2/3 weeks.

I doubt that's it..it would be consistent among '09 and later cars. Here's a video of an '09 on the dyno and they get 348 hp at the wheels.

There's another video on youtube of a '10 cab with listed results of 379hp (I'm assuming that's your car), but they don't actually show the dyno result.
