Somehow my NAV doesn't open up

Tried to flip the NAV with pressing the directional button but nothing happened...

Can anybody help with this?

TIA

Don't worry, you're not missing much.

Seriously, could be the motor...check with your dealer.

with the engine off check and see if you hear the motor when pressing the buttons. If you don't, then its the motor, if you do then its the mechanism. I had to get my mechanism replaced. Also if its the mechanism you'll be able to move the screen up and down with your hand.

Really don't remember when was the last time I even opened/tried using it. crappiest Sat/Nav IMO.

Thank you all for the quick reply!! Yes the motor is working and looks like the mechanism is bad but I can still manually open the NAV. I guess this will be on the 10,000 mile service end of this month :(
I don't use NAV either but hate to know that something is not working..

Apparently this is a very common failure. The dealer technician noted it on my 2007 Vantage when it was in for the 4 year inspection/service. Since I never use the Nav I did not have them repair the mechanism. I have probably opened the Nav a total of 20 times in the 4 years I have own the car--obviously a piece of sh** mechanism that fails in that amount of use. In car Nav's are pretty irrelevant given today's smartphone applications.
