Since I picked up my Vantage S I've only put Shell gas in it. I will actually go out of my way to seek out a Shell station because I've read it was always the highest quality.

I was just wondering what others use in their Astons.

I try to fill 93 only, but dont necessarily have a brand preferance due to proximity. If there's a Sunoco close by, thats my first choice. I try to avoid Wawa because they only offer 92 (applies to BMW only).

Sunoco 93. I had a station with 94 about 8 miles from me but it's highest is 93 now.

We're lucky that, when Husky took over all the Sunoco stations that PetroCan picked up Ultra 94. The PC stations are everywhere.

Any brand 93. Just because you buy Shell or Exxon or what have you, doesn't mean your always getting that brand fuel. They share (sell) fuel among one another if they haven't refined enough of their own brand.

I stick to Shell also. My cousin whose job is Development Engineering Supervisor for Rousch Racing, says in their tests no fuel kept the engine/valves cleaner than the Shell V-power.

93 or higher Octane, in some cases 94 is available... my favs in order are:

1) Sunoco
2) Chevron
3) Shell

BP and Texaco are the same essentailly. I also like Citgo and 76 brands.

Some say you should switch brands once a month, because the little packet of additive that the driver puts in his 8,000 gallon tank to make it Shell leaves behind deposits and cleans up others. So by switching to another, it will clean up the shell deposits and deposit it's own.

Gasoline is a commodity, it comes in a pipe and gets dumped in a huge tank. The fuel in that tank comes from different places and is mixed. Most brands do not even own refineries, so it's just the little additive pack the driver ads that makes the gas "different". Most stations are independently operated and the only thing the owner can do to it is not change his filters often enough or screw you on volume. If the octane is off the state will go after the terminal.
