According to Mike at Bamford Rose:

The GT4 regulations submitted to FIA picture and detail a sintered connecting rod for V8 race cars - apart from a little blueprinting and porting within what is allowed by these regulations, foam air filter and a 200 cell density cat - that is it in terms of the little that separates a GT4 race engine from road car engine. This was developed by the factory and given to Aston Racing to copy / build.

Before Aston Racing came along, Aston factory built approx. 17 of the first N24 GT4 race cars, after chassis 17 Aston Racing or Prodrive took over production. The first 17 built chassis were very special cars indeed built to an extremely high standard and because of the precise attention to detail applied when building these cars the end result was a standard not since replicated IMHO. The engines were completely stripped from standard build and rebuilt with steel rods and performance modifications that go beyond blueprinting. These cars were used by drivers who wanted to share in the Aston Racing experience but not formal racing. These cars were built before GT4 started so there was no regulation to comply with - these were the only cars, often entered for Nurburgring races, that used steel rods, but there is no issue with a sintered rod used for Nurburgring 24 hour racing - we have built many engines for this purpose using this hardware without failure.

We would love to get a kit sorted for the V12 cars. Really need to take a closer look at them, but going to focus on the V8 kit at the moment.

EDIT: Another thing, I have never seen the engine bay with that big piece of plastic taken off, is there a lot of room in front of the engine in the nose of the car?
It is our intention to offer higher HP kits in the future with built engines, running more boost.

Thanks for the reply. Any information about what is under that big plastic piece at the front of the engine? I am really curious...

You guys are funny, lol I guess I'm wondering if there is a lot of extra space in that region that could be utilized, and since you brought up the spy tools...I will just end my post with: because speed is a spy tool right?

Impressive,most impressive

I just saw your latest creation in person at the Celebration auto show. Beautiful fitting! Far superior in looks and placement to the Ari Ashfaq/ESX supercharger. You are keeping the extra weight over or behind the front axle.

I would like one added to my '08 Vantage.

Please put me down for one of the first 5 with the gratis install--I'd prefer to be #4 or #5 (let you further smooth out the install on the others).

Please advise on details to arrange this.

Regards,

Bob E
