I am heading to the track this weekend with my 2008 v8v. I am flushing the brake fluid Friday and putting ate blue dot4 and installing brand new porterfield 1521 brake pads. Hopefully this does the trick for an enjoyable day at the track. Track is 1.3 miles with 6 major turns and 2 straight aways that are not too long so hopefully the tires and brakes make the difference. Will update with pics and details on wear/performance after the weekend.

Please do post back. I got my R4-S's delivered this week and hope to get them on soon. What brand of brake fluid did you use? Not sure if there was a typo in your post.

I just put R4-S on my car and the squeal is gone! They squealed a little bit at first but quickly stopped and nothing since

You either have Porterfield R4-S or Carbotech 1521 brake pads...never heard of Porterfield 1521...too much Texas sun??? Or different pads front and rear? In any event, we're still interested in your impressions after your day on the track!

The "S" in R4-S is to signify Porterfield's "street" compound. If you're using the car for a track day, you really should use the R4 compound instead which is their race compound.

My bad, you are right, too much sun. It is porterfield r4-s and ate super blue. Unfortunately the track day was postponed. I have the pads and will hold off until just before I hit the track again.
