Once again, congrats on the new car. Colour suits the car!

^^^ that's correct the Long tails were the GTR versions, - the LM denotes LeMans and those were the cars used for homologation, and yes as far as I have seen they kept the roof duct and the wing on them. Great observations

Thanks all for the positive feedback. I've been daily driving the car to work, and it keeps getting better every day....
Yes, of course, I did offer to trade the F1 for the DBS....
The McClaren was on its way to Texas to some lucky owner. The ****pit is just unreal with the center seating and the oblique 2 side passenger seats.
Thanks! I take that as a compliment lol. I have a 3rd boy as well - keeps life very entertaining.
Steve, buy your damn Scud already (so that I can drive it)
Thanks - yes, cars are a long and ever changing and exciting journey. You're pretty close to me - I used to live in Diamond Bar. Let me know what next car meet you attend.
Thanks again to all. I'll continue to try to write any feedback and/or idiosyncrasies with the DBS. I am a bit peeved that with the release of the 2013 DB9, it has pretty much the same 510 hp output as the DBS, and a little more torque. I guess I'll have to get a One 77

I was lucky enough to drive his car today. Amazing car! Very tourque-y through the mid range. Like he said the paint is unreal. Also the aesthetics of the front and the rims are unmatched by any other car in my opinion. Even my favorite scud dare I say takes a second to his DBS. Drive safe Eddie and please try to keep this one longer than your last AM. Hahaha
Welcome back to AM Eddie! You've let us know all along what you were looking for, so it's exciting to have shared in your anticipation, and now in the new addition. Gosh that car is gorgeous!
I'm just over Grand Ave from you in CH and have 2 boys that look similar in age to yours....and when I saw them, my first thought was what beautiful kids you have. Second thought, your 2-ish year-old better have a diaper on! Mine get a kick out of starting the car & sitting in it while rolling in & out of the garage for it's weekly bath....but that's it for them!
It really is a classy colour. Appreciate the detailed post with many pictures. Enjoy & hope to see you around!

I do need to Clearbra the car - anyone recommend someone reputable in Socal area - preferably Inland Empire?

Yeah, was trying to make a joke that the pic was one of you behind the wheel. Never mind.

Maybe you've already done this, but in case not:
Premier Protective Films out of Orange seems to have the best ratings and experience with exotic...and they happen to be the most expensive as well. http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/index.shtml#southerncalifornia
There is a difference between a pre-cut pre-form wrap, which will be effective but less aesthetically pleasing because it shows seam lines, versus a custom wrap that is custom applied and tucks seams away cleanly. A full AM wrap (not all necessary IMO, but nice) at Premier runs about $6K. I understand fellow forum-goer macksamus was very happy with his work done there about 2 years ago, and you could PM him to see how it's held up since then.
I have a friend with 430 like you, and opted to cover just the front half the hood (pre-fab kit). Practical, yes. Cost effective, yes. Nasty seam line that shows even more on a dark paint like yours, absolutely.
I'm sure you've figured this out, but Yelp is very helpful with these types of searches and there seem to be several outfits in the IE. For a custom cut they do use razors, so you don't want to chince on a less experienced shop...especially with that ridiculously awesome paint job you have.
Please post pics and reviews wherever you decide to get this done!
